Do you have a baby or a toddler who requires the stroller? Most of the time, our local context are not very stroller friendly especially in crowded places for a simple reason- it occupies space and quite often, the thing causes heel or toe injuries when we’re not careful. How about running with a stroller?
It’s really not our culture to exercise with a stroller. BUT, we can make a change and begin somewhere!
Do you know, there’s an upcoming Stroller Race Day for all mamas who 1) want to join a real race together with their stroller babes or 2) just want to take a stroll with their stroller babes?
It’s a pity my kids have outgrown their strollers or I would’ve joined this event. Therefore, this time round, A, J and E will be participating in the Kids’ Dash!
Details below are from Stroller Race Singapore:
A race with the family-Kids 13 Years and below participate for Free! (Kids’ Dash excluded)
A unique opportunity for families to participate and compete together, with children as part of the main event. Families may register for the kids dash and signup in the family run or walk events as well. These events welcome strollers and will end before the kids dash and are a good family bonding activity.
Taking a route around the Singapore Sports Hub, parents will cover a distance just under 5km. To support families to participate together, kids 13years and below can participate in the walk or run for free!
Not forgetting the little ones, a kids’ dash category has been added so our little guys can get in on the action. We have age appropriate events for children between 2 to 12 years of age with distances ranging from 60m to 800m.
Exciting Race Pack!
Participants can look forward to an exciting race pack that encourages and supports active living. The race pack includes:

Race Carnival at the Library
Republic Polytechnic through their sports science and motor control faculty will be leading the workshops. Through fundamental movement sessions and sports tryouts, motor control assessments and physical assessments, the event aims to provide participants with a snap shot of their functional abilities and be aware of the sporting avenues open to them. Each child will be provided with a performance booklet and proceed to various stations to get evaluated. The child will leave knowing his or her strengths and weakness and how best she can further develop her movement and physical abilities.
This event is in support for the Singapore Disability Sports Council where you can catch a glimpse of our Paragames Sporting heroes at the race carnival. It seeks to raise funds provide the disabled with opportunities to train, participate and excel in sports for local, regional and international competitions; enhance the lifestyles of the disabled and integrate them into the community through recreational sports and activities; and increase public awareness of and promote widespread support for the sporting and recreational needs of the disabled community in Singapore.
The good news for those who haven’t signed up!
They have extended the closing date for registration to 31st December!
