#Bilingual Christian Parenting (Arts & Crafts)

How are you all doing in this Phase 2 Heightened Alert period? It upset quite a lot of our plans. Plans to celebrate birthdays, to meet up with long time no see relatives and friends and just plans to go out as a full family of 5 together eating at the same table in peace.

With the heartbreaking news around us, many are struggling to process and grapple with grief, pain as well as embark on an arduous journey to healing and recovery as a nation.

At the same time, our group of bilingual Christian Parents have been sharing a series of creative ways to engage our children meaningfully to learn more about God this year. Lin Xin @mystorytreasury started this initiative to combine our love for

1) Teaching Children in God’s way with

2) Bilingual (English and Chinese) language learning

Nonetheless, the darker the nights, hine when we allow Christ to illuminate in us.

Nonetheless, the darker the nights, the brighter our light will shine when we allow Christ to illuminate in us.

Instead of retreating to a quieter tone this week amidst the distressing news around us, we stepped up to get ourselves and our children to refocus on the Sovereignty of God by meditating on His precepts. This time through the Art and Craft activities to share biblical truths with our young ones in a fun and meaningful manner. Even as we are back to Phase 2 (HA), we CHOOSE to continue our intentional parenting by counting our blessings and making our blessings count wherever and whenever we can!

Using art and craft is a powerful way to process and express God’s truths as well as responding back to His truths. I pray that you may be inspired and encouraged to keep up the good work of teaching your children about God as you see how you can use art and craft to engage your kids together!

We hope you have enjoyed all the activities shared! Do follow us as we explore more ways to grow our children in God’s love and truth! We will be sharing different themes and approaches to learning about God on the third week of each month. We hope to see your wonderful sharing too!

Use the tag #bilingualchristianparenting and tag our team. We’d love to see your sharing!

I have also written a book on Growing Hearts.

It encourages mothers to grow in their walk with God and grow the children’s hearts in the Lord. It includes postcards consisting of paintings and scriptures. Do click on the link for more details.
